Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students across grade levels.
  • Foster students' musical skills, creativity, and appreciation for music.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Biology Teacher for Grades 10, 11, and 12 to join our academic team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Biology)
  • Teaching qualification/certification
  • Eligibility for Alberta Certification or Alberta Certified.
  • Solid teaching experience at secondary/high school level
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology and general Science
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Experience with international curriculum is an advantage
 

Job Description:

The Science Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Biology and Science lessons for senior secondary students
  • Preparing lesson plans, assessments, laboratory activities, and academic reports
  • Supporting students in achieving academic excellence and critical thinking skills
  • Maintaining a positive and disciplined classroom environment
  • Monitoring student progress and providing timely feedback
  • Participating in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs
  • Ensuring laboratory safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, Education, or Social Sciences (required)
  • Background in education is strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in English / Native English speaker with Canadian background preferred.

Experience:

  • Previous school-based counselling experience preferred
  • Prior teaching experience is often required or considered a strong asset
